Since 2012, her research has focused on image reconstruction in X-ray tomography using limited data, particularly in the fields of medical imaging and computational science. Her early work involved recovering image boundary shapes using NURBS in combination with Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. This research later expanded to the development of novel regularization models based on wavelets and shearlets, including applications to 3D X-ray imaging of human subchondral bone.

Her current research focuses on dynamic X-ray tomography using both simulated and real data, incorporating Kalman filter–based approaches.
